Hello

If you’ve spent a long time being the strong one, you don’t have to be alone.

I believe therapy should be a place where you can finally exhale. My experience as a crisis hotline therapist taught me that sometimes the most meaningful thing we can offer someone is a safe space to be heard without judgment, pressure, or the need to have all the answers.

Whether you’re healing from trauma, navigating anxiety or grief, or simply trying to find your footing during a difficult season, you don’t have to figure it all out alone. We’ll start where you are and take it from there.

Finding your way forward, together...

Sometimes life becomes heavy before we even realize how much we’ve been carrying. Maybe you're dealing with something that happened recently, or maybe you've been holding onto something for years. You may not even know exactly what you need—you just know that you're tired of carrying it alone.

If that's where you are, I'm glad you're here.

Before joining Safe Mind Counseling, I already worked as a telehealth therapist and also family support coordinator for years. I spent countless hours listening to people during some of the hardest moments of their lives. That experience taught me something I carry into every session: people don't always need someone to fix everything. Sometimes, they need someone who can sit with them, truly listen, and help them find their way forward.

That is the kind of therapist I strive to be.

My work is trauma-informed, meaning I recognize that our experiences can shape the way we see ourselves, relate to others, respond to stress, and move through the world. I won't rush your story or ask you to go somewhere you're not ready to go. You set the pace, and we build a space where you can feel heard, respected, and safe.

I work with adults and adolescents ages 14 and up experiencing trauma, anxiety, depression, grief, relationship challenges, and major life transitions. I especially enjoy working with people who have spent a long time being the strong one—the person everyone calls, the one who keeps everything together, or the one who learned to put their own needs last.

You don't have to keep doing everything on your own.

In our sessions, my approach is trauma-informed, collaborative, and grounded in where you are right now. I draw from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help you understand the connection between thoughts, emotions, and behaviors; Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) to identify strengths and build toward meaningful change; and Motivational Interviewing to help you explore ambivalence and move toward changes that feel authentic to you.

My background in crisis intervention, suicide risk assessment, safety planning, treatment planning, and biopsychosocial assessment has also taught me how important it is to create a therapeutic space that feels both compassionate and intentional. When life feels overwhelming, we can slow things down, understand what is happening, identify what you need, and work together toward a path forward.

Most importantly, I want therapy to be a place where you don't have to pretend you're okay.

You can show up exactly as you are—overwhelmed, uncertain, frustrated, grieving, hopeful, or somewhere in between. We'll start there.
